Ballplayers are queens and divas for one special game
Columbus-The Columbus Lesbian Gay Softball Association is proud to announce the hilarious over-the-top cross-dressing game of the season, the tenth annual Bat-nRouge Softball Game.
The location is Berliner Park, at the corner of 1-71 and Greenlawn Avenue. The game will be played on Diamond 29.
Pre-game activities begin at 5:45 pm with Amanda Kayne, and the first pitch being thrown at 6 pm by John Simmons of Sunny 95 Radio.
The emcees for the event will be Peg and Babette along with all of the incredibly talented cheerleaders. When the players need a supercheer, this squad delivers.
By wearing a numbered wrist band to the
game, each participating fan will have the chance to win $1,000.
Wrist bands will be available in mid June at the Columbus Eagle Bar, Wall Street Night Club, Grapevine Cafe, Kukala's, Creative-aTee, I.M.R.U. (above the Eagle), and Raffensberger Photography and Framing. Wrist bands will also be available from volunteers the entire Gay Pride Weekend and also at the Bat-n-Rouge booth at Gayfest.
All proceeds from Bat-n-Rõuge will benefit three local gay charities and the softball association.
For more information contact Neal P. Raffensberger at 614-444-1700, or call the softball hotline at 614-294-2240.
